Put the Anewish in first before installing software. Techspot has zapped the customer support email address I gave but it must be in the documentation that came with the adapter or on the packaging. I'll have a look and see if I can find some new drivers for the Anewish. Did post about this before under "I want to restore Windows optiplxe which was a daft title.

Searching the manufacturers website may show some recent drivers for Windows 10 that will work. It's a bit confusing having tried two different adapters giving me the above.

You haven't, but it looks like there are other problems possibly with Windows so using CCleaner will do no harm and it may sort out some of the mess left behind by abortive installations of software. You have ended up with a collection of wireless adapters, PCI and USB, and are still not able to make a wireless connection. Try fixing one problem before moving on to the next.
